Ted Peters & Gumbo Ya Ya

Elena has played with a wide range of amazing Toronto musicians including, Pat LaBarbera, Shakura S’Aida, Colleen Allen, Kelly Jefferson, Kirk MacDonald, Richard Underhill, Ted Quinlan, Rich Brown, Brandi Disterheft, Eric St-Laurent, Richard Whiteman, the Women’s Blues Revue, and Lord Bubba's Nu Jazz Project. Elena has performed with these great artists at many different venues, such as Massey Hall, Hugh’s Room, The Rex Hotel, the Toronto Jazz festival and Montreal Jazz festival. She has also worked with Toronto producer Byron Kent Wong, on recordings by international artists such as Rossif Sutherland. Her woodwinds are featured on the soundtrack of the movie “Poor Boy's Game”, directed by Clément Virgo, starring Danny Glover and Rossif Sutherland. She is currently working on a second CD with her new quintet, and bringing her talent to Ted Peters & Gumbo Ya Ya.
